LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)– As the clock ticks closer to 5 p.m. Friday– marking the beginning of a statewide obligatory mask order– some Lexington merchants are launching declarations on how their operations will work towards compliance.
A spokesperson for Fayette Mall informs WKYT the shopping center anticipates consumers and retail employees to comply with the order. The statement from the shopping mall continues, saying “Our security will keep track of in the shopping mall typical locations, and we anticipate retailers to monitor from within their own areas.” The representative likewise states security at the shopping center will have a limited number of masks readily available for customers that require one.
Target likewise talked to WKYT on the matter, stating team members at the shop are being supplied with masks and gloves to wear at work, and are being motivated to comply with CDC guidelines for healthy hygiene habits. Additionally, shops will have added signage and stationed group members outside shops to remind guests to use masks while shopping.
A Walmart spokesperson told WKYT they are restricting their stores to one entrance to help reinforce the using of masks. “Our COVID-19 procedures have continued to adjust throughout the pandemic in reaction to evolving research study and mandates covering the nation,” a Walmart spokesperson said. “Additional safety modifications are taking impact Friday in Kentucky to broaden our efforts in advising consumers of the importance and necessity of wearing face coverings in our stores.”
