University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s claim of ‘less severe’ coronavirus strain in Pa. is not supported by – The Philadelphia Inquirer

“With the recent shift to younger clients, the most likely explanation for less sickness per client is that they are younger,” Donald Burke, teacher of epidemiology and dean emeritus at the Pitt Graduate School of Public Health, stated in an e-mail. “And the most likely description for more transmission is the well-documented desertion of social distancing, specifically amongst young people.”
