Hidalgo County announced on Thursday 33 more individuals passed away due to complications associated with the coronavirus.
813 extra locals evaluated positive for the virus, bringing the countys overall number of validated cases to 14,589.
” I send my genuine condolences to these 33 households for the loss of their loved one,” said Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez. “We are at a point where action has to be taken by everybody in order to slow the spread of this transmittable infection– our physician are working long beds and hours are limited. Please wear face coverings, avoid gatherings of 10 or more, and do not leave your home unless its absolutely essential.”
There are currently 7,250 recognized active cases in the county. 885 individuals are hospitalized with issues from the virus, including 192 in extensive care systems in Hidalgo county.
The freshly reported deaths bring the countys overall to 433.
According to a press release from Hidalgo County, a total of 6.906 people have been launched from seclusion because the pandemic began.
