Humboldt Countys confirmed COVID-19 case count now stands at 205, after two new cases were reported today.
The Humboldt County Alert Level increased to level three due to current increases in case counts per 100,000 citizens as measured over a 14-day period. Although the increase does not put us on the states County Monitoring List, which would set off additional company closures and adjustments, Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich expressed concern over this current pattern and said it needs to change.
” It becomes progressively important right now that people are actually helping by utilizing facial coverings, social distancing, hand sterilizing and staying close to house,” Dr. Frankovich stated. “In order to bring our case rate down, secure our community and permit us to stay off the county monitoring list, we really need to work together as a neighborhood and drop those numbers.”
