The overall number of Humboldt County homeowners verified to have contracted COVID-19 now stands at 245, after nine new cases were reported today.
Of the 245 cases, 126 people contracted the infection through contact with another understood case, 67 acquired it through out-of-area travel and 34 were a result of neighborhood transmission. Eighteen cases stay under examination.
