SAN ANTONIO– COVID-19 related deaths are continuing to climb up in San Antonio and Bexar County, as suggested by numbers on the city of San Antonios website.
With 10 deaths reported on Saturday and 13 extra deaths validated on Sunday, an overall of 23 COVID-19 related deaths were revealed over the weekend.
On Sunday, Bexar Countys COVID-19 case load increased as the city revealed 252 extra COVID-19 cases.
The additional cases bring Bexar Countys cumulative overall to 42,873 cases since the start of the pandemic.
Thirteen more COVID-19 deaths were confirmed, bringing the death toll to 445.
Officials reported 738 Bexar County locals are hospitalized due to COVID-19, down from 743 on Saturday. Of those patients, 322 are in the intensive care unit and 220 clients are on ventilators.
Numbers released by city authorities indicate that 15% of staffed health center beds and 52% of ventilators are available in Bexar County.
