BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET)– The Kern County Public Health Provider Department reported 957 new COVID-19 cases this early morning.

COVID-19 cases could be underreported due to a technical problem with the California Department of Public Healths data system, the California Reportable Disease Information Exchange.

There are 14,841 cases among those 18 to 49 years old. People in between 50 and 64 represent 4,098 cases while there are 1,962 cases among those 65 and older, according to the department. There are 2,652 kids who have evaluated positive for the infection.
