As of Wednesday, Wilkes County validated 854 overall confirmed cases, 711 recoveries, and 5 people hospitalized.

Tyson Foods, Inc. had 612 favorable coronavirus cases given that April, according to the Wilkes County Health Department.

The Wilkes County Health Department announced Wednesday the Tyson Foods, Inc. coronavirus cluster is now closed after more than 600 overall cases because April.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services defines a cluster as a minimum of 5 cases of coronavirus within 2 weeks with a non-living setting as a connection in between the cases.

THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES SAYS THIS IS HAPPENING AT WESTWOOD HILLS NURSING AND REHAB. THE MONEY IS COMING FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES. Tyson Foods group has been wonderful to work with,” stated Rachel Willard, health director of the Wilkes County Health Department.
